Twilight Encounter

On my first Alaskan Yukon moose hunt some 30 years ago, I paddled 7 days in and out of waterways, beaver dams and muskegs in a canoe.  In my minds eye, I envisioned this scene over and over again, wishing that around the next bend would be a giant bull moose.  As the evening fades into purple crimson twilight, the “encounter” I envisioned plays out unexpectedly, but welcomed.
